The London Bridge, now inhabited by Swallows was the Tower Bridge that spanned the River Thames in London and was the scene of the famed Jack the Ripper White Chapel Murders from around 1888-1891.
Now in Lake Havasu, Arizona, the bridge is the road which connects the mainland to the Island businesses, restaurants and homes.
Every year the Village surrounding the London Bridge is completely illuminated with wonderful Christmas lights and displays and attracts visitors from far and wide.
The bridge was taken apart and moved, block by block and shipped to Lake Havasu, Arizona by Robert P. McCulloch, founder of the McCulloch Chain Saw company. The bridge was dedicated in 1971.
I am Adrienne Wilson. I was raised in the Military, moving frequently. My husband and I moved to Lake Havasu City in 1991, which is along the Colorado River, in the beautiful State of Arizona. They call it the "Home of the London Bridge" but it is so much more!! Capturing Nature's images has been a passion of mine from a very early age.
